David Crown (Bass-Baritone) started his vocal career as a choral scholar at King’s College, Cambridge, subsequently winning several prestigious competitions including the NFMS/Esso award and the Wagner Society Bayreuth Bursary.
Throughout his extensive career as a soloist, David studied with Graham Johnson, Ellie Ameling, Martin Isepp and sang under the baton of conductors such as Martyn Brabbins, Richard Hickox and David Parry. David has spent the last ten years as an acclaimed choral conductor with several preeminent choirs including The Choir of Somerville College, Oxford and the Cheltenham Bach Choir. The past 18 months during the COVID-19 pandemic has brought him back to singing and he is delighted now to be able to share his time between his twin passions within the world of singing. |
