Teaching
Following his choral scholarship at King's College, Cambridge, David had a varied and successful singing career, working at the highest level with conductors such as Martyn Brabbins and the eminent pianist Graham Johnson. He has taught singing for around twenty years and is highly sought-after by singers from student to professional level. He has taught at Oxford and Bristol universities as well as privately and many of his students from there have gone on to conservatoire and into the profession. David's teaching provides his students with a thorough, clear and reliable technical foundation in the bel canto tradition. This allows them to discover the unique individuality and beauty in their own voices. His awareness of the psychology of performance empowers his students to deliver consistent and impressive performances.
